Labour Day Sports at Waipapakauri
A highly successful sports meeting organised by Mrs. R. Kelly’s committee was held at Waipapakauri on Monday (Labour Day). The various events were run ofi in good order and provided fine entertainment, for the spectators. The organisation was very efficient and credit is due to the following, who controlled the various events : Children’s — Mrs. H. Thompson, Messrs R. Shutt, A. Shaw and H. Thompson, adults’—Messrs G. am. E. Evans, G. Tyler, F. Taylor, M. Thorn H, and the energetic secretary, Mr Vr Dale.
The silver cups were won by Clyde Evans and Peter Samuels’ horses.
