KAITAIA BRANCH r I" At the monthly meeting of the Kaitaia branch of the W.D , Mrs. Lewis presided. Mrs. Sowter gave an interesting report on her visit to the recent conference at Ohaeawai,where she represented the Kaitaia Brand). The competition for the best peg-bag made from a sugar bag, brought forth a fair number of entries. The first prize was won by Mrs. A. McKenzie, and the second by Mrs Wyatt. The trading table was in the hands ot Mesdames Powell, J. May, Wyatt and H. Parker, and was a great success. The competition for November will be something made out of a yard of material costing not more than 1/-, and the rollcall, “Old Photographs.” Mrs. Buckle will give a further address on the League of Nations. Members intend holding a series of flag 500 afternoons once a month during the summer, the first to be held in the Parish hall next Wednesday. Members are asked to make a attending and bringing their friends. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames A. McKenzie, W. Geard, A. Wilkinson and C. Crene.
