What's in a Name?

At the last meeting of the Hospital Board, Mr. J. W. Hoskin raised the question of the official name of the hospital when removed to Kaitaia. The hospital would really he the Mangonui County Hospital, yet on the documents relating to the loau'for the removal, it was referred to as the Kaitaia Hospital. A point like this may cause the Board trouble later on. The Chairman did not think that the name would cause any trouble to the Board at any time. Mr. Hoskin’s point was-that the official mind may in later years wonder what happened to the Mangonui County Hospital and the Kaitaia Memorial. Hospital when the removed hospital is called on the documents the Kaitaia Hospital. This attitude of the official mind might in late years cause the Board considerable trouble, judging by the the experience of some other local bodies.
