Fatal Burning Accident A very sad accident befell the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bosher on Sunday, 29th November. While playing in the yard she stepped into a hole containing hot ashes and was very severely burned, succumbing to her injuries three days later. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved parents by the residents of Russell. Transport of Cars The Bay of Islands Harbour Board is building a causeway at Matawhai Beach for the transhipment of motor cars crossing the harbour. It is hoped that barges will be able to use this approach down to half tide.
