Mangonui Hospital Board

A meeting of the Mangonui Hospital Board was held at Mangonui on Thursday morning, 19th, when there were present Messrs. Houston (chairman), Matthews, Berghan, Hoskin and Barriball. Apologies were received from Messrs. Evans, Wi Kaitaia and Mclntosh. Water Supply The secretary was authorised to obtain a quotation for the re-cement-ing of joints of the present Kaitaia water supply system from downpipes to the storage tank and to arrange for the work if satisfactory. Patients’ Fees A sub-committee consisting of Messrs. Houston, Hoskin and McIntosh was appointed to consider the question of patients’ fees and prepare a list of fees to be written off. Clearing Grounds Dr. Rule was authorised to engage a man under the 4a unemployment scheme for clearing scrub at the Mangonui hospital grounds, and to arrange for the necessary repairs to the hospital buggy.
