ERECTION OF CATHOLIC CHURCH IN KAITAIA
A meeting of Catholic parishioners was held in the Library hall after Mass last Sunday, when the erection of a church was discussed, and the financial position of the parish reviewed. The following committee was set up to go into ways and meansi of raising the necessary money, so that the church may be built with as little delay as possible. Mesdames Carolan, Moore, Ford, Banks, Wilson, I. Berghan ; Misses D. Thornell, Z. Berghan,' A. and M. Urlich ; Messrs. Thornell' Dale, Bakalich, Yuretich, Dance, Lunjevich, Carolan, Ford, Banks, Hunt, I. Berghan, C. Berghan and D. Barrett. Mr. M. Thornell was unanimously elected chairman, and Mr. W. P. L. Dale secretary ; Miss D. Thornell and Mr. Dale to act as joint treasurers.
