VISIT BY MINISTER OF LANDS.
TO MAKE OFFICIAL TOUR OF NORTH. HERE AT END OF MONTH On an official tour of North Auckland, the Minister of Lands, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, will be in this district at the end of the month. Following is the Minister’s itinerary : —April 29, arrive Rawene late afternoon, receiving deputations at night; April 30, leave for Kaitaia via Kohukohu, Broadwood and Herekino: inspect Kaitaia swamp immediately on arrival and receive deputations in evening; May I. leave Kaitaia for Peria, Mangonui, Kaeo, Ohaeawai and Russell; May 2, leave Russell for Kawakawa and south. The Kaitaia branch ot the Farmers’ Union at a meeting last Thursday night appointed deputations to place various matters of local importance before the Minister.
