Stephens, is in charge of the Workers’ Educational Association in South Auckland, and has taken a keen interest in the economics of dairy-farming. At the last meeting of the University Council Mr. Stephens was also appointed officer in charge of research, work into the business side of farming. Mr. Stephens is making a start in the Te Awamutu district. A group ot farmers has been selected whom Mr. Stephens will assist during the course of periodic visits to keep a simple set of books.
