The Making Of Ensilage.
Ledures By Mr. C. J Hamblyn,
A campaign of lectures on the making of ensilage is being conducted in the north by Mr. C. J. Hamblyn, Instructor in Agriculture, who will give practical instruction in this method of preserving fodder. His itinerary will include lectures at Kaikohe on November 5, Obaeawai on November 6, the Peria Hall on November 13, and Kaitaia on November 14, in each case at 8 p.m., and it suitable arrangements can be made the lectures will be illustrated by lantern slides. Farmers are cordially invited to attend.
Providing as it does a highly nutritious and succulent fodder during the winter months and the dry periods of summer, for cattle of all classes and for dairy cattle in particular, ensilage is steadily winning favour amongst'farmers of all classes, and on his visit of instruction to this district MrHamblyn should be able to look forward to good attendances.
