Beef Prices Firm Dalgety and Company, Limited report: At our weekly Westfield tat stock sale on Monday of last week, ox beef came forward in less than average numbers. Competition was good and values remained on a par with last week s. Heavy bullocks realised £l3-10 - to £l3-15/-; medium bullocks, £l2-7-6 to £l2-17-6; light £ll-10/-to £l2. Cow and heifer beef came forward in average numbers the quality being first-class and values remained on a par with last week’s. Prime heavy cow and heifer realised £ll-5/- to £l2; medium, £lO-7-6 to £lO-10/-; light, £7 to £B-17/6. _ Two trucks of prime heavy cows from the King Country averaged £H 5/-.' and sold as follow: * £1076, £n 26, £ll 5/-. IQ /- to £l2. The latter pen was the top price ot the day. Two trucks of prime bullocks realised £l3 5 , £14176, £ls. £1526. £ls 6.
