Mrs McKinnon, who has been paying a visit to Whangarei has returned to Kaitaia. Mr Strack, who has been the guest of Mr and Mrs Torrie, returned to Whangarei last week. Mr and Mrs Slane returned to Kaitaia on Saturday after holi-day-making in Auckland. Mr R H Walker who has been spending his holidays in Auckland returned to Kaitaia on Saturday night. Mr Dunlop, of the “Luminary” Kawakawa, was a visitor to Kaitaia during the week-end. Mrs E Blyth who has been spending a holiday with her sister Mrs E C Matthews, has returned to her home at Paranui. Master Hector Kirtlan who has been spending his holidays in Auckland has returned to Kaitaia. Nurse Straker who has been in Auckland for some time returned last evening and proceeds to Whangarei to-morrow. Mrs Sharp and family have taken up their residence in Kaitaia. Mr Sharp has taken over the store recently occupied by Mr Farrimond. Mrs M P Atkin and family have taken up their residence at Kaitaia. Mr F C Miller, solicitor of Kawakawa, attended the Magistrate’s Court sitting here on Friday. Mrs H Kenning is visiting Kaikohe. Mr F Kunictch who has heen on annual leave commenced his duties in the Exchange Department of the Kaitaia Post Office. Mi Behan, of Auckland, has been paying a business visit to Kaitaia. Mr and Mrs Braik of Ahipara, returned last week from a visit to Whangarei. Mrs Braik qualified for the Championship in the Ladies Golf Tourney held on the Mt Denby Links, but defaulted to her opponent owing to the wet weather. Mr Hyde, who has been appointed head teacher of the Fairburn School arrived on Saturday evening. Miss B Walker spent her holidays at Birkenhead, Auckland. Miss P Carman has returned after a holiday in Auckland. Miss M Stone spent her vacation at the Tongariro National Park. Mr J Mason of the local branch of the Bank of Australasia has left on holiday leave. Sgt Caton arrived in Kaitaia last evening and will be in charge of the cadets who went into training to-day.
