Public Opinion.

MATRON SULLIVAN. (To The Editor) Sir, —In view of the correspon- * dence already published relative to the action of the Mangonui Hospital Board’s failure to make public “Matron Sullivan’s explanation,” asked for and received and dealt with “in committee” recently, the public should ask the Board to resign in a body. lam surprised Mr Editor, that such an outspoken paper as the “Age” has not commented upon this question. We have been told by other correspondents that Matron Sullivan saw war service and plenty ot it, and the treatment extended to her by the Board could not very well have been worse, had she been an enemy. It is time the people took up this matter, and insisted upon fair treatment to the matron. Yours faithfully, Fair Play. [When this matter was originally before the Board we retrained from comment trusting the Board in its wisdom, would make public Matron Sullivan’s explanation when it arrived. We have dealt with it elsewhere. —Ed. Age.]
