Statistician wi'h nfo’-.nation regarding passengers carried, revenue, etc. Fearwa; expressed that thein'ormaiion would be used by the Railway: Department, which was in direct competition with the earners and the buses. Mr Ccetes gave a definite assurance ‘hat the statistics would be used for general purposes only, and the deputation expressed satisfaction with the reply.
