Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Mangonui County Council, in pursuance of its powers under sections 120 and 121 of lhe “Counties Act, 1920,” section 41 of the “Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909,” the "Rating Act, 1925,” and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, at its next ordinary meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, Kaitaia, on Wednesday, the 23rd day of November, 1927, to make and levy the following rates for the year commencing on the first dav of April, 1927, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1928: — 1. General Rates on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property as appearing on the valuation rolls lor the time being in force for the varions Ridings ot the County of Mangonui as follows: Awanui Riding in the £. Ahipara Riding 3%d in the £. Herekino Riding 4d in the £. Houhora Riding 3%d in the £. Kaitaia Riding 3d in the £. Mangonui Riding 3%d in the £. Oruru Riding 3j4d in the £. Victoria Valley Riding in the £. 2. A Hospital and Charitable Aid rate of 2d in the Pound (£) throughout the whole County of Mangonui. 3. Special annual recurring rates as follows: (a) Road Improvement Loan of £SOOO a rate of ’1724d in the £. (b) Flood Damage Loan of £2OOO a rate of 'OB6od in the £. (c) Waikuruki Bridge to Awanui and Mangonui Beach road Loan of £7500 a rate of 2705 d in the £. (d) Waikuruki Bridge to Awanui and Mangonui Beach road Loan (10% additional) a rate of - 0336 din the £. (e) Antecedent Liability Loan of £BB3O a rate of in the £. (f) Council Chambers and Machinery Shed Loan £4500 a rate of 'ld2sd in the £. ~ (g) Western Special Rating area Loan of £34000 a rate of 3d in the £. The said General, Hospital and Special rates to become due and payable in one instalment to the collector, Charles McKinnon, at the County office, Kaitaia, on the 2 tst day of December. 1927, where the Valuation Rolls are open for inspection. MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOANS. Notice is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 23rd day of November, 1927, to consider motions to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sums of : (1) £4OO for the purpose of metalling the Herekino-Whangape Road from the Junction ot the Puhata-Whangape Roads to the Junction of the OwhataWhangape Roads. (2) £2500 for the. purpose of forming, culverting and metalling of Paranui and Taylor’s Roads. Such Loans to be secured by a Special Rate on the unimproved value of rateable property as follows: As to No. I, The “Owhata” Special Rating Area. As to No. 2. The “Paranui" Special Rating Area. Any person having any objection to the proposed applications is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Mangonui County Council not later than the dav preceding the said meeting.
