Consecrated Last Sunday Very Large Attendance. Dr. Liston Officiates Full Report Held Over. The new Roman Catholic Church recently rrerted at Awanui was consecrated by His Lordship Dr Liston, Co-adjutor Bishop of Auckland assisted by Dean Van Dyke, Fathers Bowen, Zangerl, Alink, Spiering and the Parish Priest, Father O’Callaghan. The ceremony was most impressive a feature being the eloquent address delivered by His Lordchip, Dr Liston. A native choir numbering twenty lrom Whangaroa added greatly to the celebrations by their beautiful singing. Owing to pressure on our space to-day it has been necessary to hold over our extended report until Friday.
