Careless London’s Lost Luggage.

Premises Required! London travellers are growing increasingly careless in their habits. Last year they contrived to leave behind them no fewer than 163,579 articles, which ultimately found their way to the Lost Property Office, and the forgetfulness is increasing so rapidly that the authorities have tnought it advisabe to obtain larger premises for the reception of what travellers abandon. Hitherto the collection of the ti.ings London forgets, accumulating at the rate of about 450 a day, has been housed at New Scotland Yard. This office was closed last December, and applications now have been made at the new building at 109 Lambeth road. In the first year 2000 articles were deposited in the office.
