Opposition Dies Away. The final stages of the Shops and Offices Amendment Bill, which met with such a hectic reception in committee last week, were characterised by a dull repetition of protests which had been made by Labour members against the provisions of the measure. This did not occupy the House for very long, however, and the (Bill was eventually read a third time and passed.
