Bobby Veal
London Importer’s View A leading firm of expo' tors received the iodowing letter trom one of London’s chief meat importers : “I received your letter of June 7th regarding bobby veal, and Iron) one point ot view 1 am glad that you have no, gone in for this tu.afss. I really think it wmrld not be a business of which New Zealand could be proud, and I think it is just as well perhaps not to assist with such an article. For many seas r ons J think one would be lookittg for trouble and buyers too would not be slow to take advantage of any particulars to force the position if tnev felt one was saddled wii»: a lair consignment of bobby veal. It would be fatal to put it into store. Personally 1 think if bobby veal were displayed and inspected by the London veterinary authorities in the thawed condition, which would of course happen, they would condemn it and the onus would be on the' vendor.”
