American Ingenuity Can American ingenuity go further than this? An inventor has conferred a boon upon that section of mankind which finds in figures a collection of mysterious symbols which only confuse the mind and prepare it for the mental hospital. He has made a lead pencil with a holder which is a miniature calculating machine. Ihe harassed housewife will no longer bite her pencil in struggling with the riddles of addition. Instead, she will twiddle it between her thumb and foretingi r and all the brain-wracking difficulties that confronted her in the past-will vanish.
