Mr B. G. Davidson, of Mangarata, has a lambing percentage which will take some beating anywhere in New Zealand. From 780 ewes Mr Davidson had a percentage ot 103 lambs. Another good advertisement for the district. Why go to the best shops in Auckland to see fashionable dress parades. Last evening a young lady got several bathing costumes from a local leading shop on approyal. She was also given the services of an efficient mannequin who showed the costumes off to great advantage, and needless to relate, the costume was sold without any trouble The Centralites visited the Ninety Mile Beach on Sunday. Bathing and items on the gramaphone made the afternoon quite pleasant. The loss ot a bathing costume and a broken record were the only losses sustained. Several Eketahuna graziers have stated that the lambing season this year proved good in view of the numbers of twins and triplets that are to be seen. The same also applies to Hawke’s Bay.
