Dutch by birth, and the bearer ot a Dutch Barony as well as the baronetcy of Nova Scotia, Lord Reay, a Scottish Peer, recently went to London to participate in the season’s gaieties. Being desirous of settling down in England, he was preparing to take out naturalisation papers, since he hopes to sit in the House of Lords as an elected Scottish peer.

Standing 6ft 7in high, Lord Reay, who claimed to be the head of the Clan Mackay, is the tallest peer in existence. He succeeded to the title when he was 15.
