Medical Officer Appointed. Dr Rix The Man,
The Only Applicant
Some time ago a deputation consisting of Mr T H Kenny and Mr G Rickard waited upon the Mangonui Hospital Board, with a request that the board appoint a medical officer for the Kaitaia Memorial Hospital. The board readily agreed, and applications were invited for the position. There was only one applicant, this being Dr Rix, who was duly appointed, at Wednesday’s meeting of the board.

Kaitaia Farmers’ Quota J3O Now Reached
Mr C. J. E. Barriball brought up I'f matter of the installation ot an X Ray plant for the Mangonui Hospital on Wednesday. He asked it anything further had been done by the Kaitaia Dairy Coy. Mr Mclntosh said that so far as the Dairy Coy. was concerned orders for farmers to sign had gone out with the monthly circular, and the result had been very poor indeed from the Board’s poim of view. The total amount promised to date was £3O and the money immediately available w .s £l6 7 s - He could not at present see the contribution from this somce reaching £SO.
