Miss Jenny Kelsall, a prominent member of the Peria Tennis Club, was tendered a farewell at Mr. and Mrs. C. J. E. Barriball’s residence last evening. Miss Kelsall is leaving for the south and in view of her approaching marriage she was made the recipient of a cheque. An excellent social evening was held and many toasts were honoured. Mrs. R. Wild left for Auckland to-day. Mr. L. Rogers (Ross & Glendenning) is visiting Kaitaia. Mr. J. Morrison left on Thursday on a holiday visit to Auckland. Miss Nellie Beazley of Houhora is the guest of Miss Dorothy Puckey. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Puckey and their son Cecil left on a visit to Rotorua last Sunday. Mr. Puckey will attend a Farmers’ Conference there. Mf. Vernon Bigg-Wither is a visitor to Kaitaia, Mr H Thompson who has been visiting Auckland returned thjs week. Mr Ned Wilkinson who has been in Auckland for some time has returner! to Kai taia
Mr. H. Mullis, Public Works Overseer of the building operations of the local hospital has been indisposed. We are pleased to report he is much improved and expects to resume duties at an early date. Mr H Dacre was called away to Auckland suddenly this week. Mr Mclnois, Public Works Engineer visited Kaitaia this week. A jolly time was spent at the Library Hall last evening when another series of the Fortmgktly Jazz Evenings was held
