AS OTHERS SEE US.
A southern resident writes to the Northlander. “Having had the ‘Northlander’ brought under my notice I am enclosing ten shillings to cover first year's subscription, and as I intend to visit your progressive district later on in the year, I fee that the bright little paper that you are publishing in the Far North will help me considerably.” It has all the magic of tenler trustfulness When clouds are low and days are dark As though the world's repining. I feel the sunshine of your jokes and editorials refining Of all bright words of tongue or pen Yours most uplift. I teel sure when, I come within the Far North ken Your bright little paper will help me then Let clumsy detractors say their worst— Here's ten bob to slake my mental thirst.
