BABY SHOW
The postponed Baby Show was held in Ihe Northland Hall on Saturday, and, notwithstanding the threatening weather, attracted a fair attendance. There weie nineteen entries in all, and the babies were a credit to the North. In the class 12 to 20 months Norma White and Jordan Thomas were the winners in the girls’ and boys’ sections respectively, whilst in class 3 to 12 months the first prize winners were Atva Rule and Alfred Bryan:. Dr Davy was judge. A maUer of note was the fact that three out of the four prize winners were grand-children of Mrs Fred While, of Victoria Valley, namely, Norma White, Alva Rule, and lordan Thomas. Mrs White was the first white child born in Victoria Valley. We understand that Gr -Doug” Kitchen has expressed his intention to give a perambulator to the first of the Queens who requires such a conveyance.
