AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL PATRIOTIC AND WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION
Dear Sir, —A Public Meeting is being held in the Town Hall, Whangarei, on Monday April 22, this being the day Upon which the Government have decided to observe Anzac Day.
It is considered that this meeting will afford a good opportunity to the public to discuss the question of establishing a suitable memorial for fallen soldiers from North Auckland and to submit any schemes which would be the means of providing such a memorial.
It is considered that Whangarei and other Northern Counties should combine in an effort in connection with this matter and the Whangarei Branch of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association will be pleased to hear of any ideas which you or your readers may have on the subject and which will be submitted to the Public Meeting previously mentioned.
If you could assist by giving some publicity to this matter your action would be greatly appreciated.—Yours Faithfully, A. E. MARWICK, Hon, Sec.
