Basic Slag as a TopDresser.
The percentage of phosphorio acid in ba6io slag is the most important faetor. Of all tho brands of slag marketed none are so reliable as “ Bileten ” and “Crescent” brands. Farmers who have tried know this, and it is to oonvinoe those who have not been suooessful with other brands that we ask them to read the new advertisement relating to these two splendid brands. “Bilston” brand contains about twenty to twenty-three per cent, phosphoric aoid, is exceedingly fine and soluble, whilst “Orescent” is very little its inferior. Messrs. Kerapthorne, Prosser and Co.’e N.Z. Drug Co., Ltd., announoe in their ad. ipeoial low prioes from ship's side, f.o.b. rail or steamer at Auokland, and as full shipment# arrive during February, March, April and May, it is up to the enterprising, thrifty farmer to order early and reap the benefit.
