Wellington Bakers’ Strike.
(By Telegraph.)
WELLINGTON, this day
The bakers are still on strike but a conference, arranged by tho Mayor and the Secretary of the Labour Department, with three members of the Bakers’ Union and three of the employers, resulted in both sides arranging to hold meetings to consider certain proposals. From reports to hand the Master-bakers refuse to concede anything; “ the award or nothing at all” is their cry.
