Mr. Prosser being ill the factory at the time they bolted full gallop towards Peria. Fortunately' some bullock teams were approaching the drivers of which pluckily stopped the runaways. Quite a number of new recruits to the mounted volunteers are coming forward. Mr. A. Wallace is doing good work in this matter. Mr. Switzer’s, sen., new residence is approaching completion. It will bo quite up-to-date and fitted up in the most complete manner. Messrs. E. and J. May are off to Rotorua for a well earned holiday.
