COLLINGWOOD SCHOOL.
The annual examination and tea party at the school were held on the 25th, with more than former rejoicings. Tho examination was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Q-askin, in a very patient and thorough manner. The tea meeting followed, and about 120 adults and eighty children partook of the ample provision of good things displayed upon the tables. Games of various iinds, in which the whole community bore a part, occupied the interval between teatime and dusk, when the distribution of prizes to the successful children was made by Mr. O'Sullivan, who took occasion to thank the Local Committee for the unvaried courtesy and attention which he had experienced at their hands. A dance concluded the day's entertainment. Great praise is due to the Committee for the excellent mnnHgeuient displayed in their arrangements, by which a day of real enjoyment was provided for young and old. The following are the names of the prize winners in their order of merit : — First Class. — Elizabeth A. Carrie, Amelia Ellis, Elizabeth Fisher. Second Class. — John W. Riley, Charles D. Lightband, Lucy E. Williams. Third Class. — William A. Lightband, Francis Berry. Fourth Class. — Henry Allan, Constantino Allan. General Progress. — Henry Byrne.
