PANGATOTARA.
On Tuesday, December 12, the yearly examination for distribution of prizes took place at the School-room, W. C. Hodgson, Esq., the Inspector, being the examiner, assisted by his Lordship the Bishop of the Diocese (who is the representative of tho district at the Central Board). There was an unusually large attendance of children, •who are under the charge of Mr. R. Temple Brown as master, and passed a very creditable examinalion. At the conclusion of the examination, the prizes for the highest number of marks obtained were distributed by the Bishop, to tho following children : — First Class.— A. Grooby, 1 ; M. M. Jennings, 2. Second Class.— N. L. Jennings, 1 ; G. Chapman, 2. Extra prize, James Douglas. Third Class. — L.Limmer, 1; L. A. Jennings, 2. Fourth Class.— H. Grooby. Fifth Class.— G. Gifford, 1 ; F. Slatter, 2.
