©o&ernment Notices. THE STEAMERS SANDFLY AND PRINCE ALFRED. Colonial Defence Office, Auckland, June 2, 1865. IN consequence of the late gales interrupting communication between the several ports, the time of receiving Tenders at Nelson for the Colonial Paddlewheel Steamers PRINCE ALFRED and SANDFLY, is extended from the 15th to the 23rd instant. In the event of an Auckland, Wellington, or Taranaki tender being accepted, the vessel or vessels will be delivered at any of those ports free of all oharge to the tenderer. the SANDFLY has recently undergone a thorough overhaul at Wellington, is in perfect order, and insured for the sum of £4,000, on a six months' polioy. Tenders to he addressed to the Superintendent of Steam Transport, Superintendent's Office Nelsoa, and to be marked " Tender for Colonial Steamer." 1406 By order of the Defence Minister. NO ELIGIBLE TENDERS having been received for the SUPPLY of FIREWOOD to the several Government Offices, Hospital, Gaol, &c., for the six months ending 31st December next, FRESH TENDER'S will be received at this office, until FRIDA?, the 30th instant.
