NELSON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. An adjourned General Annual Meeting was held at the Room on Monday, April 7. Present : — O. Curtis, Esq., in the chair ; Messrs. Sinclair, Bennett, Wemyss, Lewthwaite, Levien, H. E. Curtis, Moore, Beit, Cross, Syrnons, and j Seaife. ' j Messrs. T. W. Antill, J. Watkins, and J. R. Oliver, having been duly proposed and seconded, were, upon a ballot, declared duly elected. The following gentlemen having been duly proposed and seconded for the respective offices, and no other names having been proposed, were declared duly elected :—: — For Chairman, Mr. O. Curtis ; Deputy-Chairman, Mr. D. Sinclair ; Honorary Secretary, JVlr. A. W. Seaife; Committee, Messrs. Gr. Bennett, A. W. Seaife, J. P. Black, J. Beit, J. J. Fletcher, J. Levien. Proposed by Mr. H. E. Cubtis, and seconded by Mr. Beit: — "That the thanks of this Chamber be presented to Mi*. Seaife for the very able manner in which he has discharged the duties of Honorary Secretary almost since the formation of this Ciiumber, and for his kindness in continuing to act as Honorary Secretary during the past year, in consequence of the member elected to fill that office, having declined to act." Carried unanimously. j
