Brindley. __________ GORSE FIRE LAST NIGHT The Nelson Fire Brigade received a call at 11.45 o’clock last night to a gorse fire on the hill near St. Vincent street. The alarm was given through the street alarm box at the corner of Parere and Vanguard streets. The fire was too far away from the water mains for a lead to be run out and the firemen put it out with the use of beaters and bucket pumps.
