UNFAITHFUL WIVES
CHIEF JUSTICE COMMENTS ON A CO-RESPONDENT Four divorces have been granted at the Nelson session of the Supreme Court to husbands whofte wives have been unfaithful while the husbands were serving in the forces overseas. Commenting on a letter from a wife and co-respondent admitting adultery, the Chief Justice. Sir Michael Myers, said: “He doesn’t seem to see any indecency towards the petitioner in seducing petitioner’s wife while the petitioner was away fighting for his country and incidentally for the corespondent.” The judge allowed costs against the co-respondent on the higher scale, adding: “I wish I could allow more.”
