SECRETARIES CONFER
Wellington, Nov., 28. Extensive development of the secretarial profession was forecast by Mr M. J. Boardman, president of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries at the annual council meeting of the institute in Wellington this week. The popularity of the examinations was proved by the regular increase in candidates which this year had again been a record, more than 300 .candidates throughout the Dominion entering. It was reported that there was an awakening interest in the institute as a result of its policy of admitting only examined members during recent years. ' p The following officers were elected:— President, Mr J. Boardman, Otago; vice-president, Mr G. M. Boulton, Wanganui* council, Messrs A. G. Wilson, Auckland, E. H. Bell, Wellington, A. E. G. Lyttle, Canterbury, and B. Noble, Southland.
