DEATH OF MR F. W. HUGGINS
CITY COUNCIL’S MOTION OF SYMPATHY The Nelson City Council last evening recorded an expression of deep regret at the death of Mr F. W. Huggins, a former City Councillor. The Mayor (Mr E. R. Neale) said that Mr Huggins was a member of the City Council for six years. News of nis death came as a shock to councillors. He could not imagine that the late Mr Huggins had an enemy anywhere. His one object was to see how best he could serve the community, and he was an outstanding citizen. The Mayor moved that the council record its deep regret and write to the relatives expressing its* sympathy. The motion was seconded and carried, members standing as a mark of respect.
