PROVISIONS STOLEN
VISITORS TO “FLAT-TOP” Auckland, Sept. 10. A few of the 90,000 Aueklnudera who visited 1 lie merchant ship-aircraft carrier Empire Lagan at Western Wharf during the week-end stole a quantity of chocolate, beef extract, biscuits and tinned milk from the ship's lifebont*. The food was in watertight till* which could he opened with a key attached to side. When an inspection was made it wa* found « number of tine had been opened and the content* taken. A quantity of linen and glasses were al*o unlawfully removed. All da.v again today there were streams of visitors to the ship.
