Majestic: Finally to-night at 7.45, “Hometown Holiday” and “The Singing Sheriff.” starting to-morrow and screening till Wednesday, “The Constant Nymph.” in which Charles Boyer and Joan Fontaine are starred together for the first time, with an impressive supporting cast headed by Alexis Smith. It is the story of Lewis Dodd, a young composer who is loved by Tessa Sanger, an adolescent girl he has always considered a child. He marries a beautiful society girl only to find out when it is too late that he has always lover Tessa. State: Now showing, “Greenwich Village,” a musical mardi-gras in tcchnicolour, starring Don Ameche, Vivian Blaine, William Bendix, Carmen Miranda. This bright comedy recreates the gay and dramatic intimacies of the village’s human cross-section. The sparkling dance sequences for the film were staged by Seymour Felix, and the rich, colourful costumes were designed by Hollywood’s ace designer—Yvonne Wood.
