DIET TO MEET ON SATURDAY
DISSOLUTION TO BE CALLED FOR New Yorlc, Aug. 29. Tokio radio states that the Japanese Government plans a general election in the near future on the basis of new ideas and thoughts, including freedom of speech and the press. The Prime Minister, Prince HigashiKuni at a press conference said the previous Government’s restrictions on the press and speech gave birth to a number of evils and drawbacks.
The Diet is scheduled to meet on Saturday, when Prince Higashi-Kuni will call for dissolution. •
