BUREAUX TO BE OPENED Dunedin August 29. In view of the partial relaxation of Manpower controls, tlip question of the establishment of bureaux for the engagement Of Knritane nurses was further discussed at a meeting of the Dominion executive «>f the Plunket Society, which deoiled to set up bureaux at Auckland. Wanganui. Wellington. Christchurch and Dunedin. Thi« step, it was stated, was ii accordance with the wishes of the National Service Department. 'Pile executive feels that the bureaux will lip of great benefit in providing a service for mothers who most urgently remire the assistance of Karitane nurses, and will also safeguard the interests of lie nurses themselves. It is thought that •lip service will be so appreciaed by nurses and mothers that they will be prepared to -uppori the bureaux wholeheartedly, even when manpower controls are completely The location of each bureau and the late of opening will he announced shortly.
