SLEEPY FOX SHOWS GOOD FORM
Sydney August 28. The New Zealand star, Sleepy Fox, is in good shape for his first race in Sydney which is expected to be the Canterbury Guineas (six furlongs, weight-for-age) next Saturday. He took the short-distance honours at Randwick today, running half a mile in 501 sec., though not at top speed &t the finish. Sleepy Fox carried a good weight in D. Munro. He ran the first two furlongs in 24i covering extra ground at the turn, and was not hurried over the last furlong. This is the third time since his arrival in Sydney that Sleepy Fox has registered the best time for the halfmile at Randwick .
