U.S. CREDIT PROGRAMME
FIVE COUNTRIES CONCUR Washington August 28. Mr Crowley, Foreign Economic Administrator, announced that China, Russia, Belgium. France and Holland have indicated their willingness to “go along” with the United States credit programme designed to continue the flow of goods formerly supplied through lend-lease. Mr Crowley estimated that when lend-lease‘officially ends on VJDay, about 4500.000.000 dollars worth of goods will be in stock in the United States, in the process of delivery and on contract. About half represents commodities destined for Britain, which has not indicated her willingness to adopt the American plan of agreeing to pay for goods within thirty years at 2 3/8 per cent, interest.
