WOMAN IMPRISONED Auckland. August 28. The opinion that the Social Security Department should have a register of the signatures of all doctors was expressed by the Magistrate. Mr Goodall. ir. court this morning when dealing with Constance Wallace (aged 42). waitress, who pleaded guilty to three charges of obtaining a total of £ll by falsely representing that sickness and medical certificates were signed by medical practitioners when in fact they were not so signed. The police stated that the accused had forged the signatures of two doctors when they had refused to grant her further benefits. Accused's excuse was that she was ill at the time and wanted money.
