NATIONAL SAVINGS
NELSON DISTRICT RETURNS
For the week ended on the 23rd June, excluding surpluses carried forward, three only of the ten offices in the Nelson district were successful in obtaining their National War Savings quotas. They were Nelson, Upper Moutere and Motueka. This week’s return does not compare favourably with the results obtained before the 1945 Victory Loan, but there is every indication that all offices in the Nelson district will report success in the coming weeks. National War savers made a magnificent response during the loan campaign and the Nelson National War Savings Committee extends to them its sincere thanks end appreciation, and looks forward with them to a year of success for National Savings in th e Nelson district.
