AID FOR DAIRY. FARMERS
GRANTS TOTAL £13,000,000 IN AUSTRALIA Canberra. June 11, The Australian dairying industry, is to receive additional assistance up to £2,000,000, including the £250.000 drought relief already announced. The latest grant will make a total of £13,000,000 paid or to be paid to the dairying industry. The ActingPrime Minister, Mr Chifley, said the total included cash subsidies to farmers and the provision of fertilisers, fodder and grain concentrates at subsidised prices.
