WRECKED AIRCRAFT IDENTIFIED
FATE OF LEIGH-MALLORYS London, June 8. Information has been received by the Air Ministry that the wreckage of the aircraft which was carrying Air Chief Marshal Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory to South-East Asia has been found in the mountains 30 miles west of Grenoble. The discovery was .made by a farmer on 4th June and examination of the documents found in the wreckage leaves little doubt that the aircraft was that in which Sir Trafford and Lady Mallory were travelling. The aircraft left vember last to fly to Italy* on the first stage of its journey to South-East Asia.
