EXTENSION URGED BY GROWERS Hastings, May 24 "That in view of the desire of both in New Zealand and overseas for orderly marketing, the Internal Marketing Division be asked to continue the contract system not only for the duration of the war. but after, this to be done with the full co-operation of the grower through the Growers’ Advisory Council,” was a resolution passed at a meeting of market gardeners last evening. Further resolutions urging the Internal Marketing Department to institute inquiries with regard to the development of the export trade were also carried.
