ARMED HOLD-UP IN SYDNEY
£12,000 STOLEN FROM PAYMASTER Sydney, April 13. Three men, armed with a Thompson sub-machine gun. held up a paymaster at Cockatoo Dock at 10.30 a.m. to-day and stole a payroll of £12.000. The gunmen were masked. After seizing the money from the paymaster and the four escorts who had accompanied him to the bank, the hold-up men ran to a large black sedan and drove away. The alarm was given immediately and a police cordon was thrown wound the area but no arrests have been so far reported.
