FREEZING WORKS LABOUR
MEN TO BE DRAWN FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE Dunedin, This Day. The development of an acute labour shortage at the freezing works at Burnside, Balclutha, has made it necessary for the National Service department to find 70 men to staff the works from the beginning of May for four to ten weeks. The general register of male labour is being combed. Mon will be drawn from shops, offices, banks and the public service.—P.A.
